One of the most common pieces of feedback we received from QTG05 series customers was straightforward and consistent: "My pistol won't fit with the red dot mounted."
We heard you. And we did something about it.
After collecting feedback from hundreds of customers running optics-equipped pistols — Glocks with RMRs, 1911s with Holosuns, and everything in between — our design team went back to the drawing board. The result is the OneTigris QTG05D: a fully redesigned MOLLE pistol holster built from the ground up to accommodate slide-mounted optics without compromise.
The Problem We Solved
Red dot sights and mini reflex optics have become standard on modern carry and duty pistols. But most holsters — including our original QTG05 series — were designed around stock pistol profiles. The result? Customers with optics-equipped firearms were forced to either remove their sights to holster, or find a different solution entirely.
Neither option is acceptable for a working holster.
The QTG05D solves this with a redesigned body cavity that provides full clearance for slide-mounted optics, while maintaining the same snug, rattle-free fit that QTG05 users expect. Stock pistols fit just as well — the upgrade is purely additive.
What's New in the QTG05D
Optics-Compatible Body Design
The interior cavity has been widened and the retention geometry recalibrated to clear common red dot footprints including RMR, Holosun 507/508, and similar mini reflex sights. Draw and re-holster smoothly, with or without an optic mounted.
Hook & Loop Secondary Retention Strap — Adds Security
For high-movement scenarios or vehicle operations, the Hook & Loop strap wraps the grip and adds a deliberate secondary retention layer. Remove it entirely for competition or range use — the choice is yours.
0.3-Second Quick Release Button
The upgraded quick-release button delivers a consistent, one-press draw in 0.3 seconds. No twisting, no rocking — just a clean, unobstructed exit every time. Re-holstering snaps the retention back automatically.
Three Carry Configurations
Like the rest of the QTG05 series, the QTG05D supports three MOLLE-based carry modes:
- Tactical Vest — chest or side panel mounting for plate carrier setups
- Drop Leg Platform — thigh-level carry for use with body armor
- Belt — standard waist carry for range or everyday use

The QTG05D is designed for full-size pistols and fits the following — with or without slide-mounted optics:
- Glock 17, G19, G20, G21, G45
- 1911 (full-size)
- Most full-size pistols of similar frame dimensions
